I’m posting samples of a storyboarding gig done over the course of this week. I was contracted by my good friends at Mekanism to help them visualize a motion graphic commercial advertising Bossa Nova, a drink made from acai berries.
They had successfully captured the look and feel of the product but needed help expressing the movement of the graphic “tendrils” and cascading acai berries that would be weaving their way around and through objects and images relating to the drink. It was a quick and easy job– as I would always hope any job would be!
I started work in 1991 as an comics inker, then branched to storyboard and concept work in the mid-90s. For a 6 month period in 1997, I worked as a background designer for Sony Animation in Culver City before moving up to Northern California. I now alternate between storyboarding and graphic novels. I also work as a Directed Study instructor for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. ALRAdministrator

Looked like a pretty fun gig (at least from how the boards turned out). Very fun idea.
Keep up the great work!
