The action is looking a lot better and I can’t wait to see you finish everything.
As you clean up your drawings, try to create a simplified outline with as few lines as possible. Even in line work like my example above, you can see the characters clearly and the background shapes. This way you can avoid tangents. If you add a simple grey tone to the characters that will make things pop even more and it looks sharp with a clear read.
Keep in mind, these drawings should be meant for an animatic and the images go by in a few frames sometimes. this is why you need a simple clear read on every panel.
Also, dont let the perspective grid overpower what is important. It is a drawing aid only and you can easily draw it on a separate layer and reduce the opacity to grey it out. I usually draw mine in a non-photo blue color and make it 20% opacity to push it in the background.
Your storytelling is working, but be sure to add the juicey reaction shots of the crowd and incorporate the camera more with the action. All that camera work is harder to draw, but it adds so much richness to the scene that you will understand once you see the difference.
