here’s my final homework. thank you everybody for such a great class. I really learned a lot and am feeling very inspired. I hope to run into all of you out there in the world of storyboarding!
Because I didn’t Use up Friday to plow through my assignment, I’m not so completely drained. So I decided to just do some drawover notes. These are just some shots that I feel could’ve been pushed for a less flat/more dynamic feel (Hope you don’t mind).
As for the shuriken shot; I can’t draw that well so I just copy the internet.
Good class with you, Shawn! This was an interesting class with a very philosophical-filmmaker approach to storyboarding. I enjoyed checking out your drawing style and whimsical characters!
Awesome boards Shawn!
And Eric its great to see you chime in. I totally agree with your comments. When in doubt, just copy it from the internet!
Take a hard look at your shot choices. The characters appear to be similar sizes in most of the shots.
In panels 2&4 you have some screen direction issues. Keep the alien going in one direction only even in the POV shots. Traveling left to right should hook up well with the rest of the scene.
I love the approach and fun you are having with the scene. Keep up that passion for all jobs from now on!
