What It Takes To Produce An Indie Animated Project
Probably from the day you decided to become an artist you had story ideas bubbling in your head. It seems like directing your own project is the shining goal of most story artists.
The trouble is doing it on a budget and squeezing it into your life between a full time job. It’s a home run if you have the time on your hands and spare money to drop on thousands of dollars in equipment and render farms.
What if you don’t have all that stuff? (which is about 99% of us out there)
The trick is being a smart filmmaker, using modern tech, and connecting with talented artists all over the world to make your project come true. The guy who has figured this all out in a big way is ex Dreamworks, Lucasfilm, Laika story artist Spyros Tsiounis. Spyros is a veteran storyboard artists from Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, Coraline, and Star Wars Clone Wars and is now directing an ambitious short film that rivals the quality of the major studios at a fraction of the cost.
We are putting together a FREE workshop this Saturday March 19 to discuss the process of going from a story idea and developing it into a winning film. Join host Sergio Paez as he interviews Spyros for the details on his upcoming film “Them Greeks!”.
