StoryboardArt is run by a small story team of core members. All team members and instructors are contractor based working in a virtual office environment.  All team members work remotely and enjoy the freedom of location independence. We have a fun, creative culture and everyone is in line with our vision and core values.  We follow the Traction EOS method and regularly have level 10 meetings. Each team member has quotas and clear responsibilities allowing them to be self reliant and proactive problem solvers.

The StoryboardArt Story Team knows what a life changing experience it can be for students to gain the skills needed to propel their story career forward.  With this in mind, our team has the student goals and customer service as a priority.

Founder and VISIONARY SERGIO PAEZ leads the story team to great heights. He stands as the figurehead of the company and leans on the rest of the story team to execute the production.

Our DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION handles all operations and systems uniting all departments of the company. They manage the team leads of SALES MANAGER, MARKETING DIRECTOR, FINANCE MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER, and STORY SUPERVISOR.

The STORY SUPERVISOR is in charge of producing and updating the curriculum inside the story pillars and “StoryboardArt Success Path”. They lead the team of STORY MENTORS, as well as program the platform content and events. They maintain the high standards of quality in the program.

The STORY MENTORS are contractor based instructors with 5+ years of industry experience. They execute the curriculum established by the STORY SUPERVISOR.  To become a STORY MENTOR, they pass through a specific interview process

including tests to see if the candidate is capable of applying notes and giving the correct feedback.  STORY MENTORS are reviewed on a quarterly basis. Those who fall short are cut, while those who consistently perform are rewarded with bonus pay based on their student reviews.

The SALES MANAGER directs the STUDENT ONBOARDING SPECIALISTS. They are in charge of meeting quotas and establishing and tracking sales metrics. Their job is to engage new prospects and find the right solution for prospective students.  They work closely with the Marketing department, Operations, and CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALISTS to make sure we deliver on our promise and give the best possible experience to our users.

The MARKETING DIRECTOR spreads our message, shares our story and creates education based resources to share with our growing public community. The COMMUNITY STORY MANAGER works under the MARKETING DIRECTOR and delivers the social media and public facing community support needed to attract new prospects.  They regularly use student examples and testimonials to promote the platform.

The DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SUCCESS is the dedicated team member in charge of the student journey within the “StoryboardArt Success Path”. They work closely with CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALISTS and do regular check-ins with students to make sure they are on track with their goals.

The FINANCE MANAGER has our finances radically dialed in empowering the team to make better decisions for student success and growth. They set the budgets and identify inefficiencies to optimize every resource to the fullest.

The HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER is in charge of finding new talent, interviews, and team onboarding. They actively recruit by referrals.

Sales- The Producers Room


Our lead generation is automated, dialed in, and coming from our various marketing channels in such a way that our STUDENT ONBOARDING SPECIALISTS just have to show up to the prospect calls and the prospect is ready to get started.


The sales methods are simple, straight forward and “soft”. They explain “The StoryboardArt Success Path” and show the results from students. They correctly filter the right type of student and only accept those prospects who are up to the challenge.

Our primary markets are the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, then the rest of Europe.

Our membership website is clean and user friendly. Just like a quality storyboard, the website is a joy to navigate- clear, simple and not overly cluttered with interface details.  The website works just as beautifully on any device.

The student-teacher interaction is a breeze with a robust but simple assignment delivery and feedback system. All of the student information lives inside the student profile as an archive so the student can see their growth and progress over time.

The team systems are run using existing cloud based tools which run the internal communications, scheduling, task tracking, and metrics.

Human Resource- Pre-Production Services

We actively recruit instructor talent by referrals. Instructors are required to have 5+ years or professional industry experience.

Our instructor onboarding process is smooth and informative. The instructors have all the tools they need to service the students and maintain high standards of quality.

Our instructors are reviewed on a regular basis internally and by the students through our student feedback system. Instructors who receive poor ratings are removed while those who consistently perform with high marks are rewarded with more work and bonuses.

The interview process is very specific including a critique test to see if the instructor is capable of applying notes to the student and the appropriate type of feedback.

We host quarterly “story training” sessions for instructors to keep them up to date on the industry trends and maintain high standards in our program.

StoryboardArt is generating over $4M in revenue per year with a 30% profit margin. We are cash flow positive and have strategically built up 6 months of cash reserves to protect against outside market forces. We are self financing our growth and expansion.

We have an average of 200 students per year entering the "StoryboardArt Success Path" pillars of training. In addition there are nearly 1000 active platform members outside of the Success Path.

We accept no financial aid avoiding any unnecessary red tape for students, but students can apply for multiple internal credit programs which make StoryboardArt an accessible option for artists overseas and in emerging markets.
